Nadia graduated from Providence Theological Seminary with her Master’s in Counselling/Psychology. As part of her education, she was a teaching assistant in the counselling department at Providence Theological Seminary. Faculty and staff have recognized her as excelling in her ability to connect with and effectively work with clients in the field of counselling/psychology. Nadia is currently a member in good standing with PACCC (Professional Association of Canadian Christian Counsellors).
Nadia has always had a deep care and concern for people. She believes that all people are created with multiple dimensions (cognitive, behavioral, emotional, interpersonal, and spiritual) and she approaches her therapy from this holistic belief. She believes that each individual has the ability to change and grow and therefore comes along side them to help them in their journey no matter the issue they are dealing with. She brings empathy, empowerment, and encouragement into the therapeutic relationship
Nadia has joined clients in working through various issues,
including interpersonal issues, boundary issues, anxiety, depression, adults
dealing with childhood trauma/abuse, self-harming behaviors, and anger
management. She provides instruction/facilitation of our TDC Anger Management Course to individuals who request it. Nadia has had experience working alongside both adults and adolescents of diverse ethnicities and life circumstances. With each individual she promotes unconditional acceptance and provides a safe space to promote change and growth. Nadia provides serves at both our Pembina and Smith St. locations. |
